Hellos, Zombie Walks and Pirate Stories

Hello internet!
Long time, no see. Well actually that's a lie and the only real reason i haven't been on the internet since this morning is because my laptop ran out of power and i was too lazy to fiddle with the ever breaking connecty-chordy-thingy.

So, I'll warn yas all now, I'm gonna sound really pretentious saying this I'm starting a blog because I feel as though i need a little space to just get down all the crazy crap that's in my head and all the weird and very nerdy stuff i do. I don't expect anyone to actually read it.

Like today, for instance, instead of studying for my exams, which i can look up at my fun wall calendar and see that they are, oh.... four weeks away, i decided that today would be a good day to try out some zombie make-up for the zombie walk on the 25th. Yeah, i worry about myself too. But, anyway, it turned out kind of good. I've decided I would like to make up some fake blood for the event (which is kind of a MUST I think) but today i just used red eyeshadow, thanks dad, and had big black circles around my eyes, messed up my hair and all was zombie like and wonderful. I took photos but they're still on the camera, may put a photo up later.

This has been in my head for a while so, speaking of pretending (I'll work on segueing), a few weeks back was the ERC ACP, yay acronyms, and like good little campers we decided that when it came to sleeping, moving the four of us who were still outside, inside, was waaaaaay too much effort. So we nose gamed to see who would go in and get everyone's sleeping bags, i wasn't picked thank goodness. No way was I moving. So, in the end, we made an epic bed fort down the side of the house. Now, it was awesome. I didn't sleep at all but we had a camp mattrice at our heads and a sleeping bag under and like three over us. so it was nice and cosy and I and one of the guys shared the good sleeping bag so all was good. It was so nice looking at the sky and seeing dragon clouds and the grass being nice to us. And on top of all that warm fuzzyness all I could think of was of the Bloody Jack books and how Jacky would call it her 'Kip' all of us sleeping together like that. So I got to be nerdy while having one of those 'young people' experience.

I think that's what I want to continue doing here and in the outside world. the kind of 'say yes'ness that leads to sleeping outside and wearing zombie makeup.

until next time
Katherine
