i wrote this post last night but the internet seems to have eaten it. Which is strike 2 for blogger, strie one being that it is linked with my youtube account and i have a different email for that one, so it logs me out of youtube when i wanna write something here. Which is mildly inconvienient #firstworldproblems.
So anyway two things are in my head; the brisbane zombie walk and the teenage paparazzo movie about funnily enough the teenage paparazzo.
My first thought is that i now kind of get what people are talking about when they talk about people (celebrities) getting tired of people taking their photots. Now, i'm sure that a lot of people will never experience what this is like. Besides the occational 2 year old and that one bridesmaid at a wedding. But even then it's not on the same scale. As it happens when you paint yourself green and dress as Elphaba and then cover yourself with blood and carry around Totos head on a stick, people want to take your photo, and after about 3 hours of this, i was over it. Or rather, it was starting to bore me. And then getting on the train to go home, there was another person taking out their (very nice) camera to take my photo, and at that point i felt like i had had enough. I felt it was out of the setting where it was acceptable to take photos. And what did i do? nothing of course, posed for her photo and then exagerated sleepyness so she would get the point. And we all justify it by saying, well they asked for it, they bring it on themselves(i' back to celebrities now). But i'm not sure if i agree totally, I'm not sure i've ever totally agreed.
The second thought is that I am totally facinated with kids doing adult jobs. It's just an interesting thought that you know, a hundred years ago we were only just getting rid of the societal acceptance of kids running around the streets unsupervised and working. Now-a-days it's totally not acceptable but for a legit amount of time it was commonplace. And its funny because the mum said that people do comment and say stuff like that, but it is a relatively new idea.
I'm sure i had a point, im just not sure where it went.
until next time
Katherine.
